Maribel has received several recognitions for her dedication and service to the Orange County and Central Florida community. Since being elected in 2018, as Orange County Commissioner, one of her initiatives has been to help and assist small businesses, so they can be more familiar with the opportunities that the county offers for the small businesses and how they can be certified and become vendors, to be able to submit proposals.

Zulay Millan is currently Assistant Manager for the Procurement Division at Orange County Government in Florida. Zulay began her public sector career in 2001. For the past two decades, her career focus has been in procurement and process engineering/ improvement. Zulay holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Procurement, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has
her NIGP-CPP, CPPO and CPPB certifications. Zulay is currently serving on the Governing Board of the National Institute of Government Procurement (NIGP) as the Chairman of the Member Council.
Zulay also serves as a member of the NIGP Certification Commission. Locally Zulay serves as Strategic Planning Chair for the Florida Association of Public Procurement Officials
